Fall Is In The Air October 11 2013, 0 CommentsHooray for fall! We absolutely cannot wait for this time of year, not just because the weather is incredible; we are like kids in a candy store crazy about fall decorations!! Fall is a season of great scent, warm colors, hot beverages and celebration. It is the one time of year your home warms up inside and becomes the most inviting place to be or the spookiest. If you’re having trouble decorating this fall season, we hope this blog inspires you. Remember if at the end of this blog you’re still unsure, call us. We live for this stuff! We tend to pull our Halloween décor out with our fall décor because the two start rearing at the same time. Plus, as soon as Halloween passes you can simply remove anything “spooky” and you’re left with fall décor to get you through thanksgiving. Approach your décor like layering clothes and the work suddenly becomes simpler. If you’re a Halloween fanatic, be clever and over the top. Halloween can never be overdone. Also, if you are looking to invest in large spooky pieces, purchase after Halloween when they are literally 75% off, trust us! Below are photos of simple yet effective Halloween and fall décor. The mice are cut from black construction paper and tucked into the crevices to stay in place.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_238" align="aligncenter" width="584"] Spooky is not limited to the inside of your home. Bring the fun outside. Your trick or treaters and guest are sure to enjoy the experience. Plus you have a lot of open space to work with, which allows you to be unrestrained. Think of it as a blank canvas.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_237" align="aligncenter" width="584"] These graveyard tombs are cut from plywood, spray painted, stenciled and attached to a yard fork in the ground. Very cost effective way to bring the Grimm to the outside.[/caption] Once the Halloween bug passes fall compliments any décor because of its warm color scheme. Utilize vases, window sills, coffee tables and mantles for splash areas. These areas allow room for foliage and cloth to lay nicely among your decorations. [caption id="attachment_235" align="aligncenter" width="960"] Use an inexpensive witches brew as a foliage vase. It is a harmonious way of bringing the two together. You can also choose to keep this out through fall since it is simple.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_240" align="aligncenter" width="584"] Invest in ceramic pumpkins, their gloss adds luxury and the colors catch the light well.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_236" align="aligncenter" width="584"] Window sills offer a playful area to lay foliage out around existing decor. This is great for those who are looking for simplicity.[/caption] We are already in full effect decorating mode for several of our customers, and personal home.
