Eyes Shut - Master Bedroom Design Inspiration October 16 2014, 0 CommentsThe master bedroom should be a calming beautiful place to end your days. The master bedroom is the last room the you see at the end of a day and the first room in the morning. A calming retreat for relaxing and falling asleep but a place that will make you smile and get ready to face the day. Have fun exploring these beautiful ideas for designing your master bedroom.
Contemporary Color PopWhen color is your thing, make sure your colors are rich and inviting. Color can make or break a room. In the master bedroom, choose colors that speak to you, but still allow you to feel rested and not too wired (save those for other areas of the house). That's not to say you cannot go bold, some bold colors work very well in the master bedroom, teal or purple for instance, are great in the bedroom, however a bright lime green may not work as well. [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="500"] A bold wall color (in this case a charcoal gray) can make the room rich and inviting. The addition of a bright, bold color completes the room.[/caption]
Room with a ViewIf your room has a beautiful view, use it for your design inspiration. Make sure your decor and colors do not take away from the view, but instead, enhance it.
[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="500"] To compliment the view and stone fireplace, the furnishings and decor are minimal with a rustic charm.[/caption]

Minimal BeautyA simplistic design in the master bedroom creates a quiet relaxing atmosphere. Perfect after a long day. [caption id="attachment_738" align="alignnone" width="642"] The browns and creams make a great calming escape from the day.[/caption]

RomanticIf you want a romantic feel in your bedroom, add some lush fabrics and beautiful curves.
[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="500"] The fabrics, curves and color makes this room a romantic oasis. The high ceiling and block wall are great contrast to the curved bed and pillows. The rich gold colors and deep brown furniture compliment each other well, thereby creating a great romantic escape.[/caption]

Whatever route you choose, make sure it is a place you don't mind spending 8-10+ hours a day in, even if most of those are with your eyes closed.
