Your home is a direct reflection of your personality. Add a bit of punch with some refreshing home decor patterns.
Yes, pattern can be intimidating. But when done well, it can completely transform your space. If you are worried about it being too much, add it in slowly, one small piece at a time. If you're brave, start room by room and add personality.
There are so many different ways you can add pattern to any room. Accent furniture, rugs, pillows, window coverings, tile, lampshades, wallpaper, throws, etc..
The key is to add pattern tastefully. If overdone, it can quickly become too much and take over the room. You want to have one eye-catching piece and let the other patterns work with that piece. Don't let them all compete for attention.
You can definitely use more than one pattern. Just be sure they all work together. Make sure there is one unifying element, color or theme, between them all. Using a varying intensity and/or value of a color is an easy way to use different patterns. You can also use contrasting colors creating a more bold feeling.
When it comes to the scale of the pattern, use your judgement. But make sure you have only one large scale pattern and mix the small and medium patterns. Again using the same color in varying intensity and value, or contrasting colors work best when mixing pattern sizes. outdoor couch seating   If you are a little timid on the pattern front, take it slow. Some great ways to add pattern and "try it out" is to add a tablecloth, decal, pillows, or a rug. These are all items that can be the start of more or add just the right amount for your tastes. image-2 Here are some ideas for ways to add pattern in your rooms: Bathroom
